Community Reading Goal:
25,000 books

We’re calling on the community to demonstrate the value of reading! It teaches. It keeps the mind sharp. It transports and entertains. Spend some time reading (or listening to) books this summer and add to the community tally. We’re calling on the community to demonstrate the value of reading! It teaches. It keeps the mind sharp. It transports and entertains. Spend some time reading (or listening to) books this summer and add to the community tally. Our goal is to read 25,000 books this summer.

Books in any genre and format can be counted. That includes hardbacks, paperbacks, e-books, audiobooks, Playaways, talking books and books read to others. You can read books from home, the bookstore, the library or wherever else you can find them. You choose what you read.

To contribute to the Community Reading Goal, readers of all ages can either fill out a card at the library or fill out the form online. You are encouraged to enter books as you read them throughout the summer. There is no need to wait until the end. Participation, both toward the reading goal and by attending programs and classes, offers some special perks.
