Technology Center Help Desk Assistant

The Salina Public Library is hiring Technology Center Help Desk support staff. The position requires excellent customer service, flexibility, reliability and the willingness to work collaboratively.

In this position, the staff person will patiently assist the public with a variety of pc questions including email, internet, computer basics, smartphones, apps and more. You must be the type of person who can multitask and strives to continue to learn and grow.

Requirements:  18 years of age, high school diploma required, college degree or experience preferred.

Interviews will take place immediately.

20 hours per week.  999 maximum hours per year.

Schedule:  Wednesday 2-6 p.m. / Thursday 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. / Friday 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Starting salary is $11.75 per hour.

Youth Services Clerk

Youth Services is seeking a kind, enthusiastic, and energetic person who loves working with children and families.  Good communication skills and reliability a must.  Working knowledge of children’s and young adult literature preferred.  High school diploma/GED required.  

This is a full-time position.  Duties include:

-Assisting patrons in finding library materials and using computers

-Assists in assuring accurate library shelving by shelf-reading and straightening

-Positively communicates and educates library patrons about services and policies

-Assists with creating displays and projects

-Helps to promote and support youth programming efforts

Schedule:  Includes working (1) set evening a week and every 3rd Saturday.

Starting Wage: $10.66 hr
