Text:

29 March 1884

Dear Father,

We arrived home all right and found everything in good shape. The boys had got along nicely with the work and had about half the oats sown. The wheat is growing very fast and looks as well as I ever saw it at this time of the year. The other boys found things all right about their places. My finger is giving me a good deal of trouble and will be some time before I can do much with it. Get John to write soon as we are anxious to hear how you are getting along.

Your son, R. Muir
