[Letter written on stationery with "Post Office Salina, Kansas" letterhead]

Dear Brother,

I send you this note to request you to send us twenty-six bushels of Lancaster Red wheat, 10 for myself, 10 for Willie and 6 for James. We will send the money when wanted and pay the price wheat is at the time. Bryce has sent to Johnny Craig for 35 bushels. Send it all together as we intend getting reduced rates of freight, if possible. We are all well.

Robert Muir

Start it right away so we will get it in time.
I wish you would see Uncle Bryce and tell him I have not heard a word from the plow yet and unless it is on the way not to send it, as I have my plowing about all done and consequently it will be of no use to me this year. I will send you the money for sacks in a short time.
