The adults-only (18 and older), end-of-the-summer open house will include hors-d'oeuvres, live music by harpist RoJean Loucks and prizes, including the grand prizes of a Kindle Paperwhite and Amazon Fire Tablet.

To qualify for a ticket to the open house, you can participate in Summer Reading by logging books, writing a review or attending Summer Constellations, any movie, genealogy event or book discussion. You must have a ticket to attend and to enter the open house prize drawings. Tickets will be available at the Information Desk from July 14-22 for Adult Summer Reading participants. You must attend the open house to enter that evening’s prize drawings, but do not need to be present for the drawings to win.

Youth & Teens Pool Party

The family-oriented pool party will be after hours at Salina’s water park, Kenwood Cove, and will include pizza for summer reading participants and their parents. Children 10 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. 

To attend the pool party, youth and teens should turn in the Pool Party Log to Youth Services between July 15-25. No set amount of books have to be read to qualify for the party. Youth and teens are encouraged to set personal goals.
